Vintage Shiny Brite Premier Teardrop Double Indent Glass Ornament USA Christmas Ornament, 1950s

Scarce large Shiny Brite double indent teardrop ornament, using a Premier mold. American made, circa mid 1950s. Shiny Brite acquired Premier Glass Works in 1955 and used some of their classic molds for a short time. These are rare and harder to find! This jumbo double striped teardrop ornament features a small floral indent on both sides. Thick magenta and green bands are framed with thin white and yellow stripes. The wide pike is tall, more typical of Premier ornaments yet topped with the classic ribbed Shiny Brite cap. It measures 3.5 inches tall to the top of the cap and 2.25 inches wide. It is in excellent vintage condition free of chips or cracks, with minimal minor paint loss. This is a superb rare Shiny Brite ornament in a classic Premier shape, a must have addition to any American ornament collection.
