1900s German Glass Peacock in a Ring Ornament Bird Metal Ring Christmas Ornament

Stunning hard to find antique German glass bird in a metal ring ornament, circa early 1900s. The large silver peacock has wonderful detailing and a blush of pink on the wings. The head features a crown of three spikes and a long black pointed beak. The original spun glass tail is intact and has aged to a soft gray. The two spring legs are firmly attached at the bottom with a metal disk. The ring is formed individually by turning a thin metal rod bit by bit, then crimped at the top for a hanging loop. Wonderful! The bird measures 5 inches wide beak tip to tail end, the bird itself is 3.25 inches. The metal ring is 3.5 inches wide by 3.75 inches tall. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips, cracks or with minimal paint loss. There is the usual oxidation at the tail end. Amazing condition for its age of over 120 years old!
